He is an M.Sc. student in Statistics at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University. His thesis involves expanding a Bayesian meta-analysis model for a continuous test to include a latent class structure when the reference test is not perfect.
He is also supervised by Russell Steele. We are collaborating with Sebastien Buczinski of Université de Montréal to apply this model to the problem of evaluating diagnostic tests for inadequate transfer of passive immunity in calves.
Yang is also helping with several projects led by Inés Colmegna on influenza vaccines in rheumatoid arthritis patients, including the planning of a Bayesian randomized controlled trial.
